Greta Thunberg: A Source of Inspiration

Greta Thunberg, born on 3 January 2003 in Sweden, is an environmental activist known for urging world leaders to take immediate action against climate change.

• Early Awareness: Learned about climate change at eight and was baffled by the lack of action.
• Asperger Syndrome: Views her condition as a “superpower” aiding her activism.
• School Strike: Began striking outside Swedish parliament in 2018 to demand climate action, inspiring global #FridaysforFuture strikes.
• Global Impact: Led the first Global Strike for Climate in March 2019, with over 1.6 million participants from 125 countries.

At The Developer Society, Thunberg’s commitment to climate action and her ability to inspire global movements motivate us. As a digital not-for-profit co-op, we strive to empower charities and NGOs, reflecting her dedication to environmental justice.

We acknowledge that no one is perfect, including Thunberg. Our focus is on drawing inspiration from her positive contributions while recognizing that endorsing every aspect of a person's life and actions isn't necessary. We celebrate the values and actions that align with our mission to support social good through digital innovation.
