Sight Concern Bedfordshire sets a new accessibility standard

Since 1959, the Charles Darwin Foundation has been a leading voice in environmental research and conservation. The Developer Society partnered with them to create a stunning website that showcases their crucial work in the Galapagos Islands. Together, we overcame unique challenges, including poor local bandwidth and extensive content migration, to deliver a modern, engaging platform. Built on Wagtail CMS, the new site effectively highlights the Foundation's scientific research and environmental impact, bringing their important mission to life for a global audience.

Turning passion into compassion with the Refugee Council’s Fair Shot movement

The Fair Shot movement, a collaboration between the Refugee Council and Comic Relief, unites football fans to promote fairness and compassion by hosting friendly matches between refugees and club supporters. Launched in May 2024 with a dynamic website created by The Developer Society, Fair Shot harnesses the universal language of football to bridge communities and turn passion into meaningful social impact.

How we created a brand for a new campaign organisation looking for payback

The Developer Society rapidly created a brand for Debt Hacker, a new campaign organisation addressing short-term loan industry issues. Working collaboratively with a team of specialists, we developed a cohesive visual identity and brand toolkit in just weeks, enabling Debt Hacker to quickly establish its presence and tackle urgent financial justice concerns.

As ActionAid UK prepared for their Christmas fundraising appeal, they wanted to tell the kind of moving stories that help connect supporters and donors with the people ActionAid serve. To do that they needed powerful stories and bold, beautiful imagery.

    Choose Love (formerly Help Refugees) are a group of everyday people, taking joint action to improve the lives of refugees. In less than two years, they became the biggest facilitator of grassroots aid in Europe. They now fund more than 80 projects across Europe and the Middle East and have had over 15,000 volunteers work with them to reach more than 700,000 beneficiaries. Until December 2017 however they were using an off the shelf donations platform that was returning poor results and losing them money.

They needed more volunteers than ever to meet the growing demand for their helpline. We helped them develop an intuitive, volunteer-led dashboard to support Samaritans volunteers with their lifesaving work.

Since its relaunch, thousands of people access it per month to search for local support in their communities.
