The Elders are an independent group of global leaders working together for peace and human rights. Founded by Nelson Mandela they include such global heroes as Jimmy Carter, Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Graça Machel. Their Walk Together campaign aimed to bring people together around the world to share what they were doing to help promote peace and justice.
Working closely with The Elders, we designed and built an engaging site that easily presents the broad range of work covered by the Walk Together campaign. The site needed to be able to handle a complex mix of supporter and staff generated content while giving everyone a simple process for getting this content uploaded. The centrepiece of the site is a beautiful interactive 3D globe which highlights and connects the actions of Walk Together around the world and which we have on good authority drew a few oohs and ahs froms Mary Robinson herself!
