Shivy Das
Shivy has a natural curiosity to understand people and create meaningful user experiences.
With a background in industrial design, Shivy has leveraged her skills in design thinking, human centred design, research and prototyping into the digital space to address critical social issues and drive positive change with technology. She has worked across the product development cycle, from concept to completion: strategy, facilitation, research, UI/UX design and no-code development. Shivy works in a collaborative way, believes in showing over telling, the power of simplicity and is very enthusiastic about dumplings 🥟
Notable & relevant work
In addition to the great projects she has worked on with DEV, Shivy has also been part of designing a range of user experiences, proposition developments and capacity building projects for mission driven organisations, such as:
- GOV.UK (Product design): Supporting the development of trustworthy AI.
- Infrastructure design lab (Capacity building): Supporting charities redesign or improve how they support their member networks.
- Citizens Advice Scotland (Conversation design): A chatbot, designed to reduce demand on advisors and help people self serve.
- Refugee Action (Service design): A 3-week course, designed to help migrant-focused organisations develop a project to include people with lived experience.
