UI Designer

WANTED: A User Interface designer to join our co-operative digital team. Use your creative skills to help amazing charities and nonprofits change the world.

We’re a not-for-profit co-op filled with designers, developers and campaigners. We working with big names like Choose Love, Oxfam, Samaritans, and many more.

We want to hear from you if you want to deliver great user-centred designs for meaningful causes.

Our Studio is in the Custard Factory in Digbeth, Birmingham. You can work from wherever you like, but we try to get together as a team in one place a couple of times a year. Core skills and experience

  • UI design
  • Proven experience seen through your folio
  • Understand the constraints of responsive, accessible designs
  • Taking expressed user needs and imagining a solution
  • Taking a brief and turning it into wireframes
  • Taking wireframes and turning them into designs
  • Taking designs, documenting and prototyping them, and handing them over to developers
  • Taking coded sites and providing QA feedback
  • An eye for detail, pixel-precision
  • Accurately estimate stages of a design process and intuitively fitting a design process to a time budget
  • Providing and taking internal feedback
  • Branding creation and development processes
  • Confidence in simplifying visual language

Skills that are nice to have

  • Experience working in Sketch
  • Understanding of atomic design principles or similar methods
  • Product and service design skills
  • Workshop facilitation
  • Team leadership
  • Information Architecture experience
  • UX design
  • User research
